Nimesh Jhaveri '08 and David Proctor '07 Receive 2011 Distinguished Alumni Awards

In June, Lake Forest Graduate School of Management (LFGSM) honored Nimesh Jhaveri and David Proctor with Distinguished Alumni Awards for 2011. The LFGSM Distinguished Alumni Award was established in 2007 to highlight the talents and successes of the School's more than 8,000 alumni. The Award is granted annually to two alumni, nominated by fellow alumni, in two categories: Professional Achievement and Service Achievement.

Mr. Jhaveri, who received the Distinguished Alumni Award for Service Achievement, is the Executive Director of Pharmacy Services at Walgreen Company. Jhaveri is a Hotchkiss Scholar and LFGSM Class of 2008 Valedictorian. He also holds a BS in Pharmacy from Rutgers University. Mr. Proctor, who received the Distinguished Alumni Award for Professional Achievement, earned his Lake Forest MBA in 2007, holds an undergraduate degree from Northern Illinois University, and is the Co-Founder, President  & CEO of Next Wave Logistics, Inc.

Classes of 1990-1999
  • Gary Brown '91 was appointed Dean of Business at Western Technical College in La Crosse, WI, in October 2010.
  • John Landgraf '92, has been appointed Executive Vice President, Global Nutrition for Abbott.
  • Ralph Pini '92 has been appointed President and CEO of Paratek Microwave Inc. and to the Board of Directors of Sand 9, Inc.
  • Steve Hayes '94 has been appointed to serve a one-year term as Chair of the Special Olympics Texas Board of Directors. Hayes is Senior Vice President of Brandt, a large mechanical and electrical contracting firm based in Dallas.
  • Michael Anania '95 has been hired by Mediware Information Systems as Vice President and General Manager of its Blood Center Technologies product group.
  • Reginald Walker '97 is the President and CEO of Imaginext, LLC.
  • Renee Zonka '98 has been promoted to Dean of the Kendall College School of Culinary Arts.
  • Rob Schultz '99 was recently named Vice President and Chief Product Officer for Epsilen, LLC, responsible for Product Management, Software Development, QA and IT.

Classes of 2000-2009

  • Cynthia Yelich '01 has been appointed Special Events and Social Media Coordinator at the Des Plaines Park District.
  • Christine Schultz '02 has joined Eddie Bauer as the Chief Information Officer.
  • Patrick Quinn '03 was promoted to Senior Vice President at The Federal Home Loan Bank of Chicago.
  • Kevin Wysocki '03 has accepted an invitation to become a Partner in Praxis Management International LLC.
  • Brett Conradt '06 has been promoted to Director at Stax Inc., a Management Consulting Firm.
  • Steven Davis '06 has accepted the position of Corporate Trust Administrator at The Bank of New York Mellon.
  • In addition to owning MetroTax International, Marina Kibardina '06, is also the District Director of Adult & Alternative Education Systems Management for the City Colleges of Chicago.
  • Shawn Sherlock '06 was recently promoted to Associate Managing Director with The PrivateBank in Kansas City, MO.
  • Scott Draeger '07 has been promoted toMarket Development Manager - APJ for Hewlett Packard and is in the process of relocating to Sydney, Australia.
  • In November 2010, Sheldon Gelber '08 and his wife, Julie, welcomed the birth of their first child, Itai. In January 2011, Sheldon became Owner and President of Chicago Gold Snacks, LLC, a gourmet popcorn manufacturing company.

  • Victoria Ryan '08 has accepted a position as Adjunct Faculty with her alma mater, Columbia College of Missouri. She was also promoted to Director of Learning for HD Supply, Inc.
  • Baka Shepherd '08 has accepted a position as Assistant Client Services Manager with JPMorgan Chase Bank.
  • Chris Wilberding '08 accepted the position of Vice President Operations at Bridgescape Learning Centers, a part of EdisonLearning, which addresses the high school dropout issue in the United States.

Classes of 2010 - 2011

  • Harley Haney '10 has accepted the position of Director of Global Sales & Business Development for Wiley Electronics.
  • Anna Nathani '10 was recently promoted at Abbott Laboratories as a Digital Learning Design Manager.
  • Jeff Stonecliffe '10 opened Liptak Dental Services of Wauconda (IL), a dental technology consulting firm specializing in computer support, practice management software training and managing web presence.
  • Since graduation a few weeks ago, Brad Hartmann '11 has launched his own business. Red Angle Inc. develops Spanish language training tools to eliminate the English-Spanish communication barrier in the construction industry.
