General Fund Scholarship
Many alumni and friends of LFGSM designate their annual gifts in support of this pooled fund. 100 percent of every gift to this fund is directed to scholarship support. All scholarship applicants are automatically considered for a General Scholarship.
Yellow Ribbon Scholarship
This scholarship is the result of an agreement between LFGSM and the Veterans Administration. The scholarship applies to any veteran approved for 100percent Post 9/11 GI benefits. The VA will pay up to the basic tuition for the State of Illinois. LFGSM will pay for the balance of the tuition. Your support of this scholarship will support veterans who are new and returning students. Visit www.gibill.va.gov for further information or contact the LFGSM Development Department.
Aldo Cabri Endowed Scholarship
Established in memory of Aldo Cabri, Class of 1971, the scholarship supports current students who run into emergency financial situations – unemployment, a reduction in tuition reimbursement, or other unexpected financial difficulties during the school year.
Maurice F. “Moose” Dunne Entrepreneurial Scholarship
Established in honor of Moose Dunne, LFGSM’s founding president and long time faculty member, this scholarship supports students who embody the entrepreneurial spirit exemplified by Moose. Dunne scholarship recipients are strongly encouraged to contribute to this fund after their graduation.
Hotchkiss Scholar Scholarship
The Hotchkiss Scholarship was established in 2004 by LFGSM Hotchkiss Scholars to foster academic excellence. Gifts designated to this scholarship are used to support Hotchkiss Scholars who are required to participate in the LFGSM Global Practicum. The program is named after Dr. Eugene Hotchkiss III, President Emeritus of Lake Forest College, who served on LFGSM’s Board of Directors for many years.
Joseph A. Kaule Scholarship
Established in 2009 by Robert J. and Mary Linda Gariano, LFGSM Class of 2004, in memory of Linda’s father, Joseph Kaule, a successful pharmacist. The scholarship supports female students with an undergraduate nursing degree in financial need.
Desmond and Jeanne LaPlace Scholarship for Non-Profit Managers
Created in 1998, this scholarship is intended to provide non-profit leaders with the management skills necessary to successfully guide their organizations in the midst of an increasingly complex and competitive NPO business environment.
Shaw Family Scholarship
Established in 2007, Robert G. Shaw has been a strong supporter of higher education. This fund support female students, especially single parents, with emergency or recent significant change in personal/family financial status, such as unemployment, a reduction of tuition reimbursement or other financial difficulties.
Richard and Joan Syer Scholarship
This scholarship was established in 1997 in memory of Richard Syer. This scholarship supports students with a financial need who have provided for more than 50% of their educational expenses themselves.
Through this scholarship, Trustmark is committed to supporting individuals who are working to overcome social and financial disadvantages.
Daniel J. Yomine Endowed Scholarship
The Yomine Scholarship was established in 1987 to support students with a demonstrated financial need who are employed in a manufacturing position.
