Lake Forest MBA International Study Opportunities
If you're interested in gaining hands-on international experience, the Lake Forest MBA program is the place for you.
At Lake Forest, you can either specialize in international management or you can take as many or as few international management courses as you'd like. In each course, you and your teammates will:
- Work, study, and live in selected international cities for two weeks.
- Examine the region's economic climate in meetings with the senior management of local and multinational businesses and financial institutions.
- Examine the region’s political environment through visits with local government officials.
- Become familiar with the region’s culture and its impact on conducting international business.
- Complete a consulting project in the local market by analyzing a problem or opportunity, and developing a business solution.
- Personally present your business solution to a panel of local academics, business representatives, and clients for their evaluation.
- Gain insight into the challenges facing international business and acquire a new understanding of business in the United States.
All courses are taught by Lake Forest MBA faculty who have business experience in the respective region, and by faculty from participating in-country universities. Fundamental to each course is your hands-on, in-country consulting project for an area business, and regional presentations by prominent business, political, financial, and labor leaders chosen for their expertise in global issues.
Our current in-country international study courses are:
- International Management: European Community
- International Management: Asia
- International Management: Latin America
