With only two courses left before completing her MBA, Amanda Ewertowski has much to share about her experience as a student at Lake Forest Graduate School of Management. Amanda has directly applied the insights and networking opportunities offered during her MBA program to launch a new non-profit organization with a goal to create educational impact and opportunities for students around the world.
The ability to plan for adversities that seem unlikely and improbable is a challenge for businesses and corporations. With any luck, a crisis management plan will be a documented, trained and ready to implement set of procedures that the corporation will never have to put into action until an anomalous event occurs that threatens operational continuity. However when it is needed, a crisis management plan is an essential tool, helping businesses return to operational norms as quickly as possible.
Is business leadership an art or science? And, if it’s both, what comes first?
It’s a simple question often applied to specific business disciplines like strategy, operations or marketing and sales that seemingly tries to explain why some people are better at it than others.
When I ask these questions in Lake Forest Graduate School of Management classes there are always mixed opinions. Most people believe that it’s a combination, but that’s an empty explanation!
