Sue Granquist teaches Organizational Communication and Project Management along with courses for Corporate Learning Solutions at Lake Forest Graduate School of Management. A graduate of Lake Forest, she received the Distinguished Alumni Award for Service Achievement in 2012, and the Distinguished Faculty Award in 2017.
Sue is Director of the Marketing Program Management Office for CDW where she oversees the execution of critical Marketing and cross-functional programs. She has more than 16 years of PMO experience and draws on best-in-class project management methodology. She is a Project Management Professional with specialties in hardware and software engineering, operations, risk management, cost containment and global business programs.
Sue joined CDW in 2011 as Sr. Manager, Marketing PMO, and leads the project management of the annual marketing planning process, ensuring the on-time delivery of partner plans. She also leads a 15-person team responsible for coordinating the execution of more than 9,000 marketing activities annually. Known for building high-performance teams, Sue consistently shares best practices and works to enhance the skills of her team, while also providing project management training to CDW teams outside of Marketing. She is the co-chair of CDW’s Women’s Resource Committee, focused on providing resources to coworkers that foster personal and professional development.
As a Senior Program Manager at Motorola, Baxter, and other companies, Sue led development projects such as Global Positioning capabilities for cell phones; a process for the purification of donated red blood cells; and the optics for Microsoft’s redesign of the Xbox gaming system.
