James C. Holton
Jim Holton teaches Strategic Talent Management at Lake Forest Graduate School of Management.
Jim is Director of Training and Organizational Development for Winston & Strawn, an international law firm. A background in both staff and line management, combined with hands-on experience working in the corporate headquarters of global organizations, gives Jim a unique perspective on transferring people management and leadership lessons learned to the next generation of business leaders.
Jim has worked as a Human Resources Generalist and had responsibility for leadership development at CNA Insurance Companies, Northern Trust Corporation and the National Safety Council. He is certified in a number of assessment and leadership development tools, including the Myers-Briggs Type Inventory (MBTI), DiSC, Wilson Learning’s Social Styles, PDI’s Profilor-360 tool, and the Blanchard Leadership Behavior Analysis (LBA). Jim has facilitated major change initiatives, including strategic planning, blended and technology-assisted learning, succession planning, performance management, business process improvement and competency modeling.
