As Europe’s largest economy - and the fifth largest economy in the world - Germany is a key member of the continent’s economic, political, and defense organizations. Germany benefits from a highly skilled labor force and has the lowest unemployment rate of all the EU Member States.
Today, Germany is setting the pace as a model of renewable energy use, while continuing to be a leader in traditional manufacturing industries. It also boasts world-class museums, historical sites, and famous festivals. Strong cultural ties and post-war economic relations between the Germany and the US make it a trusted and natural trading partner.
