Mr. Kozak joined the Lake Forest Graduate School of Management in August of 2007.

As Vice President of Information Technology, he is accountable for leveraging technology to enable the tactical and strategic goals of the Graduate School, and in so doing, directly helps its students maximize their competence, confidence, and contributions.

Prior to joining the School, Mr. Kozak spent more than 18 years with Hewitt Associates, helping a people-oriented employer meet its vision of “making the world a better place to work.”

For the last eight years, he was in a rotation of  “Vice President in Information Systems” roles including Global Solutions Infrastructure; IT Client Delivery; and Architecture, New Technology and Strategy.

Mr. Kozak has held global accountability for technology infrastructure stretching from PDAs to mainframes, databases, middleware, collaboration, and print; managing people and technologies across five continents.

He helped start up a payroll business in China, led the IT implementation and client relationships for Hewitt’s initial HR Business Process Outsourcing work, and facilitated the introduction of a number of innovative technologies including portal, single-sign-on, and grid computing – all of which enabled a growing business to serve its clients with higher quality and value.

He introduced a vendor management discipline based on a balanced-scorecard and saved tens of millions of dollars through vendor contract negotiations and operating expense management. He also led the transformation of a technically siloed organization into a service-oriented business partner that was focused on serving internal clients in the manner of a professional services firm. Additionally, he initiated a technology governance methodology that harmonized technology use with technology strategy and business needs.

Mr. Kozak has been involved in the Black Data Processing Associates of Chicago and has served on the Technology Advisory Council of El Valor. He is a 6 Sigma Champion, has been ITIL Foundations certified, and is a graduate of the Center for Creative Leadership.
