J. Ron Moore, Class of 2011
President & CEO (Retired), Midas International Corporation
Mr. Moore spent his entire career with Midas International Corporation, which is the largest specialty automotive chain in the world, with over 2400 locations operating in the United States, Canada, Europe, Australia, and New Zealand.
Mr. Moore started his career with Midas, serving in various operations and logistics assignments, including manufacturing, distribution, inventory control, and purchasing. In 1972 he was named Vice President and General Manager of Midas’ Canadian subsidiary and was named Vice President of all Midas international operations in 1976. In 1978 he was named Chief Operating Officer and was elected President and CEO in 1982. He served in that capacity until his retirement in 1998.
In addition to the Board of Lake Forest Graduate School of Management Mr. Moore serves on the boards of several other not-for-profit organizations, including the University of Colorado Foundation and the Chicago Crime Commission. He was elected to the Board of Lake Forest Graduate School of Management in 1999.
