Heather A. Lowe

Division Vice President, Abbott International Human Resources, Abbott Laboratories

Ms. Lowe was appointed to the position of Divisional Vice President, International Pharmaceuticals, Human Resources in November 2009.   Her responsibilities include developing and implementing human resource strategies for thousands of employees located in over 65 countries around the world.

Heather Lowe began her career with Abbott in the Manufacturing Professional Development Program (MPDP) in 1991.  She spent the next ten years in the Pharmaceutical Products Division in a variety of positions including operations plant manager and director, materials management.

She joined the Abbott Diagnostics Division (ADD) in 2003 as a project director for the Diagnostics Breakthrough Organization.  In 2003, Heather was promoted to divisional vice president, global supply chain, ADD and in April 2005 assumed the position as vice president and executive director, The Clara Abbott Foundation.

She was elected to the Board of Directors of Lake Forest Graduate School of Management in 2007. 

Ms. Lowe holds a bachelors degree in mechanical engineering from the University of Virginia and a masters of management from the Kellogg School of Management, Northwestern University.  Heather was born in Baltimore, Maryland and currently resides in Libertyville, Illinois with her husband and three young children.
