B. Montgomery Edson
Insurance Partners
Mr. Edson formed Insurance Partners in 2009. Insurance Partners brings together marketing companies, third party administrators, reinsurers and specialized service vendors to develop proprietary health and life insurance programs.
Mr. Edson worked for Guarantee Trust Life Insurance Company from 1985 until 2009. He joined the company as Assistant to the President. In 1986 he was named Vice President, Marketing. He held that position until 1992, when he was given senior manager’s responsibility for Life and Annuity lines of business and became a member of the Corporate Planning and Steering Groups. In 1996 Mr. Edson was named Senior Vice President.
In 1972 Mr. Edson joined Gurley Ortman, Inc., an equipment lessor and distributor serving the truck, farm equipment and construction equipment industries as Manager of their Cutting Tools Division. In 1978 he was named Executive Vice President, managing marketing, inventory control and customer functions.
Mr. Edson is an Adjunct Professor for Lake Forest Graduate School of Management, a Chartered Life Underwriter, a Fellow of the Life Management Institute and a member of the Planning Board. He was elected to the Board of Lake Forest Graduate School of Management in 1997 and served as Board Chair from 2005 to 2009.
