As an institution, we have strengthened and expanded our ties to the business community since our founding. Those relationships, our business practitioner faculty, and working professional students drive the continuous improvement of our education model.
The constant evolution of our curriculum makes it possible for us to consistently deliver on our mission and Leadership Learning ® philosophy to help students improve their competence, and confidence so that they can make meaningful business contributions to their organizations.
The accreditation process that LFGSM uses supports our continuous improvement model. Lake Forest Graduate School of Management has been accredited by the Higher Learning Commission (HLC) since 1972. In 2005, LFGSM applied and was accepted into the Academic Quality Improvement Program (AQIP), a quality-based program for continued accreditation from the HLC that promotes excellence through continuous improvement.
The benefit of AQIP is that it “infuses the principles and benefits of continuous improvement into the culture of colleges and universities” and helps these schools demonstrate that they meet accreditation standards "through sequences of events that align with those ongoing activities that characterize organizations striving to improve their performance.” Source: www.AQIP.org
At Lake Forest Graduate School of Management, we are committed to continuous improvement in all areas, which is why AQIP was easily recognized as a close strategic and cultural fit with the School. Using AQIP, we will formalize and integrate our continuous improvement process and advance business management education to the next level. LFGSM is using all tools available to bring our clients, alumni and students the highest quality business education available.
